Rochester Housing Authority recognizes the importance of resident involvement and participation in the mission of public housing and that this involvement assists in the creation of positive living communities. In keeping with that belief, residents have a right and are encouraged to organize and elect resident councils to represent their interests. These elections are monitored and validated through The Center for Dispute Settlement. The purpose of resident councils is to improve the quality of life and resident satisfaction and to encourage and facilitate participation in self-help initiatives.
If you are a public housing resident and have questions about your resident council, please contact the Resident Services Assistant at (585) 697-1150 x 228.
