UPDATE: Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA)
The Rochester Housing Authority (RHA) is hereby notifying you of regulatory changes made by the U.S. Department of Housing Urban Development (HUD) that may impact how your income is calculated effective 7/1/2025.
On July 29, 2016, HUD signed into law the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) which is intended to make widespread changes to Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs. Certain provisions of HOTMA have an upcoming compliance date of 7/1/2025.

New Lobby Hours at 675 W. Main St.
[October 1, 2024] The lobby is now open Monday through Thursday 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM. It is best to arrive no later than 4:00 PM to be assured someone will be able to meet with you. The doors may close at 4:15 PM to new arrivals.
It is also open on Friday from 8:30 AM until 12:00 noon. Try to arrive by 11:30 AM if you can.

Update: Public Housing 1-Bedroom (not Housing Choice Voucher / Section 8) Waiting List
We are happy to announce that the Public Housing Waiting List for 1-bedroom units will re-open on 3/3/25 at 12 Noon.
The 2, 3 and 4-bedrooms Waiting Lists will be closed on 3/3/25 at 12 Noon. The Studio Waiting List continues to be closed.
If you are interested in applying to the Public Housing Program, the online application portal will be available to apply starting on 3/3/25 at 12 Noon.
