Public Hearing Scheduled for May 17, 2024
Rochester, NY—Today, April 2, marks Rochester Housing Authority’s (RHA) 45-day Public Notice period for comments on the proposed changes to the Administrative Plan for its Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, formerly known as Section 8.
This notice is in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines for resident and public comment whenever changes are made to the HCV Administrative Plan. This Plan is the agency document that provides the guidelines, rules and regulations required to receive assistance by RHA’s HCV Program.
The purpose of the proposed plan changes is to better meet local housing needs of our community and agency priorities. The HCV Administrative Plan outlines preferences with points for voucher eligibility:

A Public Hearing to discuss these proposed changes is scheduled for May 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Rochester Housing Authority’s Administrative Office located at 675 West Main Street, Rochester, NY 14611.
RHA will receive written comments regarding the proposed changes during the 45-public comment period to commence on April 2, 2024.
